Welcome to the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Lafayette! We are glad you are visiting our website and we hope you will join us for worship sometime soon.
What are your services like?
We have two different worship services on Sunday. While they both contain the same elements, the sermons are different and the evening is less formal. Our services are biblical, simple, and reverent with an emphasis on the reading and preaching of God’s Word. Both services typically last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. See our Ministries page for more information.
What should I wear to worship?
The heart is what matters most in worshiping God, not your outward appearance, so you can wear whatever you want. That being said, most people in the congregation come to worship dressed in business casual attire.
What is the music like?
We sing the Psalms of the Bible without musical accompaniment from The Book of Psalms for Worship. The style of our singing is similar to that of hymn-singing. In fact, many of the tunes we use in worship are the familiar tunes of well-known hymns.
Are there Bible classes on Sunday?
Yes, we have Bible classes on Sunday for all ages (including adults) at 11:20 a.m. after our morning worship service. Even on your first visit, we would love for you to join us for a class. Please speak to someone upon your arrival and we will be glad to guide you to the appropriate classroom(s).
Note: Bible classes do not meet in the summer months.
Is there childcare available?
Yes, we have a staffed nursery during both of the worship services and Bible classes for children ages 3 and younger. You can use the nursery for all or part of the service. It is there to be of help to your family while you worship.
