Worship
We believe the worship of God is to be foremost in the life of a Christian. Since God teaches in His Word how He is to be worshipped, we aim to do that which pleases Him in our services. Each week the Word of God is carefully preached and applied to our lives. We also praise the Lord by singing the psalms of the Bible and lift our hearts to Him together in prayer. Six times a year we celebrate the Lord’s Supper and administer the sacrament of baptism, as needed.
Bible Classes
After our morning worship service, we have Bible classes for all ages, including adults. These classes are designed to impart biblical knowledge and give practical instruction for living the Christian life. They are important in the life of the church, as they provide another avenue for us to grow in Christ together.
Bible studies
During the week, we encourage people to be involved in one of our Bible studies. These small groups meet in various places throughout the community. They are designed for fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual nourishment from the Word of God. In addition to our weekly small groups, we also have a women’s Bible study and a men’s discipleship ministry.
Youth ministry
On Wednesday evenings, we have Youth Group for the junior and high school students, as well as Kids’ Club for those 12 years of age and younger. Our goal for both of these ministries is for the youth to have fun, to develop strong friendships with each other, and for them to grow closer to Christ and learn how to live for Him. There are also many opportunities throughout the year to benefit from the youth ministry of our presbytery (e.g. retreats and service projects).
College Ministry
Purdue CORPS (Collegiate Organization of Reformed Presbyterian Students) is our campus ministry. The aim of Purdue CORPS is to evangelize, establish, equip, and send students into the world who love God with all their hearts and others as themselves. During the school year there are many weekly activities for the students, both for fellowship and for spiritual growth. Purdue CORPS is unique from most campus ministry groups because it takes place within the context of a local church.
Jail Ministry
Every Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evening, a team of men and women from our congregation visit the Tippecanoe County Jail and the Community Corrections Work Release Facility to teach the inmates about the freedom they can have in Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity we are thankful to have and we rejoice in the many ways God has blessed our efforts over the last 37 plus years.
Missions
Since Jesus is building His church throughout the world, we pray weekly in our services for different countries and for different missionaries. We also financially support the efforts of others to advance the kingdom of Christ on earth. Whenever possible, we bring missionaries to the church for us to hear how God is working through His people to save the lost.
Fellowship
As believers in the Lord Jesus, we are a part of the family of God. Like any family, we enjoy being together. The first Sunday of the month we have a pitch-in dinner following the morning service and Bible classes. Throughout the year, we also have many social events, such as a themed dinner, a talent show, and a camping trip.
